High Profile Adventure Racing L.L.C. is an organization of multi-sport athletes who actively promote the sport of adventure racing.  We pursue a lifestyle of lifelong fitness and competition.  We believe in the preservation of wild places, the cleaning up of the environment, and  in supporting "green" companies.  We promote a high quality, challenging and affordable race showcasing the natural beauty and history of the Quad City region.  We also advance the sport of adventure racing by hosting an "adventure camp" at beautiful and scenic YMCA Camp Benson in Mount Carroll, Illinois.

The 2008 High Profile Adventure Camp was a huge success!  88 campers and 23 volunteers enjoyed a beautiful sunny, warm, spring weekend of ropes, navigation, camaraderie and fun.  The camp concluded with a 3 hour adventure race.  The 2009 camp is scheduled for April 4 - 5, 2009.  A special thank you goes out to all of the dedicated volunteers who make this camp possible.  Your friendship is highly valued and appreciated.  Gerry

The 2007 Thunder Rolls Adventure Race was held on September 8 - 9, in Illinois City, IL.  46 teams of 3 from 14 states competed, making it one of the largest races in the United States.  Team Wedali 1 and 2 won the 24 hour division in 13:17 with Team Timberland in 3rd place with a time of 14:38.  For complete details and information about the 2008 race, go to www.thethunderrolls.org


Team Orthopaedic Specialists, racing with Gerry, Ron, Sue, and newcomer Trent Thompson finished 7th out of 44 teams in the 36 hour Berryman Adventure!  Click on the above banner to access CHECKPOINT TRACKER web site for more information and details.  UPDATE!  Team OS has qualified for the USARA NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP!


                                     

On Wednesday, September 19 and 26th, Gerry instructed 35 women from the Quad City Women's Outdoor Club on rappelling safety and technique at Devils Glen Park in Bettendorf.  Click on the above logo or www.qconline.com to access an article in the Dispatch Argus.  20 women attended the four hour training session and picnic on Saturday, October 13, 2007 at Devils Glen Park.  Advanced rappelling and zip lining was taught.  All sessions were well attended and the comments were very positive.

Congratulations to Team Enviromark-Orthopaedic Specialists for finishing the 2006 Primal Quest - Utah in 32nd Place!  The Team raced for 10 days and over 450 miles through the Utah desert and mountains.
